The prologue basically just talked about how, the author has read many John Lennon biographies and that he finds them redundant and boring, and that his so called book is unique and special. Four pages, to read that. -_-아이구... Off to a bad start.
The first chapter talks about John Lennon's early days. It's actually rather sad. Once he was born his mother moved in with her sister and her husband. At five, John's day abandoned him and so did his mother, she moved in with another family nearby, and left him with his aunt Mary who he nicknamed Mimi. Once John turned 14, Mimi's husband died. So she and John were the only ones left. Since he felt rejected by his birth parents, he would misbehave, and disrespect authorities. It got to the point where he had to go to another school, because things were getting worse. Which only added to the problems and brought him to the point where he was smoking up to three 20 packs a day .o_o On another note he was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. He worshiped him, ever since he heard the song "Heartbreak Hotel."
As far as the rest of the chapter goes, I don't get. I read three times, but it still sounds like gibberish to me.
Relate
I don't really relate to him on any level. I mean I have both my parents and they're still together. I guess the only we relate to one another is feeling rejected by someone that's important to us, but even then the way I coped compared to him is really different, and no I'm not going to get into details.
Reflect
After reading this I learned that John Lennon had a rough start, but for someone who went through the stuff he has, he turned out pretty amazing. XD
